This summer, a friend showed a LED lamp with a cactus.
The cactus we did not like, but the principle intrigued us. At us the light went on and we saw possibilities. The light consists of a base with an LED light that illuminates a shaped and engraved transparent piece of perspex. The lights can blink or be fixed to a different color as desired.

By designing the perspex shape, unique lights are created.

The first lights were made with digital files I had used before: Icelandic horse and a balloons dog.

An extra cut line around the drawing and a bespoke foot drawn. Cast perspex ordered and with the file to the laser cutter and the first lights were ready.
In the foreground some perspex shapes without a light.

I also had a digital line drawing of my brother-in-law's boat and so I had my first cado.
My other brother-in-law also had a birthday so once again behind the drawing board and the photo of his new house converted to a line drawing.
