It's becoming a real hype right now. #Creatief with #ijsstokjes . And, of course, I had to try. You can use ice sticks to create the most beautiful creations and especially geometric figures.

What do you need?

Ice sticks (for sale at Action, but also at online webshops). If no ice sticks can be obtained, you can also use stirrers;
Wood glue (a glue gun can also, but gives some more junk);
Cutting scissors (to be able to cut the sticks);
Nice designs that you want to create;
Printer (to print the designs);
Baking paper (this to make up your design. The glue easily leaves on it).

On the internet you can find super cool designs. You'll find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest, but there are also special Facebook groups in which everything is shared. Here you can also find a lot of inspiration.

Through various programs online you can print images magnified to your liking. After printing, you create your design sheets together. To easily get your creation loose I work on a baking paper (or you can use a plastic cover). Once you've got everything ready, you can cut the sticks to size and cut them at an angle to make them longer. With wood glue you can easily glue it together. After you have made everything together and let it dry, you can cut or file the residue of glue.

After that, you can give it a color. I injected my creations first with a primer and then with a black spray can. After that, allow to dry well. If you want to hang it outside you will also have to treat it with varnish, otherwise it will quickly fall apart.

I've made two creations. The first was a rather small one: a fox head and the second a slightly larger one: a cactus.

I'm sure I'll make some more cool creations and hang them up in our house. This is how the cactus hangs on the new toilet on the first floor: kak-so; -). And I intend to make some for the kids. If I have more creations ready, you can find them on my Instagram 😉

Super fun and creative, right?
