Crossspiders in love?
Animals sometimes fall in love with each other. They don't send each other bunches of roses, and they don't write sweet notes to each other. Also, they don't sing serenades under the balcony. What do they do? Read it here!

When a male spider falls in love, and he has discovered a female with his 8 eyes, he is very careful. He then spins a thread, which he secretly and very carefully fasten to her spider web. Then he makes that wire vibrate! That's how the Mrs. Spider knows, that the male does like her.

Romantic, huh? So he shakes her for a while, hoping he can cross over to her web. But only if she sees him too! Because otherwise he's got to get out of here! A female spider who's angry, you don't want to have after you!

A little clarification: Spiders are wrongly considered insects by many. However, there are many differences to be observed.. For example, spiders have four pairs of running legs and not three pairs like insects.. The body consists of only two parts (head chest and rear body), while that of insects consists of three parts..
Spiders are related to haywagons (which do not belong to the spiders themselves!) , mites, ticks and scorpions. These all belong to the class of arachnids; insects form a separate class.. Arachnids and insects are both part of the stem of the arthropods, along with other classes..
Spiders have existed for some 400 million years, so occurred before dinosaurs dominated the Earth..
