The American #inlichtingendiensten and the German Bundesnachrichtendienst have been listening to important world events for decades — even from allies. They got help from the Netherlands. This is evidenced by secret evaluation reports by the services themselves, which are owned by the German television channel ZDF and the Washington Post. Research platform Argos got insight into these reports and reveals the role of the Netherlands in this intelligence coup.

With espionage, you learn a lot, but you can't do much [Het Parool, Feb 18, 2020] According to the CIA itself, it was the “intelligence coup of the century”: West Germany (the Federal Republic of Germany) and the United States were the secret owners of a Swiss company, Crypto AG, founded in 1952. They built in a back door. For example, the United States and the Federal Republic of Germany had two ways: they made gold money from the machines sold to nearly 130 states; and they could easily dig through the safe communication of friend and foe.
