When the weather is nice, I make a salad, get a bottle of frozen water from the freezer and cycle to Lake Veluwe on my electric bike. Where I have a nice meal with a group of friends. Along the way I come across lots of things. Like this chopped aurelia on the bike path along the Spijkvijver.

And when I take a different path near the Spijkvijver on a beautiful sunny October day, I see a little butterfly fluttering. It turns out to be a butterfly.

After following for a while, I can approach this lemon butterfly close enough to take a good picture.

In the meantime, I have to be careful not to knock over this beautiful specimen.

Under the trees stands a coven of fly agarics.

And if I walk carefully through the nettles, I can take this parasol fungus in the picture a little closer. Unfortunately, the sharpness is not at the right point. But I just found myself in a thorny situation, which I didn't want to stay in too long.
