Daith piercing: my experience
Exactly one week ago, I had a daith piercing.
Not only for the beautiful but a lot of people swear to prevent migraine and headache attacks!
I suffer a lot from it, often up to vomiting and also painkillers do not work.
After a long doubt I had something like f*ck it, I'm just going to do it so I made an appointment for the same day. Did it hurt? YES! After all, a needle passes through the cartilage but after the piercing was put, the pain was also gone immediately! The whole time is long: 3 to 9 months.
So far the healing is going well. Clean twice a day with water, do not use things like sterilon etc. If necessary, you can put some sea salt or hymalaya salt through the water to clean with.
Do you want one, too? Always do good research on the piercer! If he/she comes with a device to shoot the hole, you know you have to run. These things never get shot because your cartilage could shatter! In general, in things like earrings shooting is not recommended anyway and especially at a jeweler, such people are not properly trained for this.
In addition, it is more hygienic with a needle as this is only used once.
And if in doubt while healing, always make love to your piercer for advice.
The average price for a daith piercing is between €30 and €50 I paid €37,50 for it myself. I also saw shops come by with €110 which of course is ridiculous.
Until now, I'm free of a headache!
