Last weekend we went to Burgers' Zoo for a day. It was already a while since we had been there (about twelve years ago) so nice to visit again of course together with the kids! #Burgers #Burgerszoo #Dierentuin

Now with the Covid-19 pandemic you have to book anywhere in advance, including Burgers' Zoo. This is very easy via the website and you will receive the reservation by email. Save it and have it scanned via your phone (as well as your parking ticket).

Burgers' Zoo is divided into six different parts: Park, Bush, Desert, Rimba, Safari and Mangrove. What makes Burgers' Zoo so special to us is the Burgers Bush, Burgers Desert and Burgers Mangrove. This is because they don't have this at the zoo we live closest to. And the kids loved it.

What makes Burgers' Zoo so special to us is the Burgers Bush, Burgers Desert and Burgers Mangrove. This is because they don't have this at the zoo we live closest to. And the kids loved it.

Upon entering we have first done a piece of park. We have seen penguins, elephants, reindeer and meerkats. Then we snuck into the Rimba. Here are among other things tigers, gibbons, blows and bears. Then to discover the Bush. They thought that was cool! Here were animals that we do not see very often and also the plants and trees were beautiful. The best they liked the small paths in between, so it really seemed as if we had landed in the rainforest.

Through the Bush you can visit the Ocean. The large aquariums they have there are impressive for the kids. They thought it was super nice to see all the sea creatures that stay there. But the sharks were really favorite, both the mega large aquarium where they stay and the tunnel where you can walk through and the sharks and rays swim past you. Then we visited the Desert. In this desert part you will find some animals and lots of flowers and plants. The children also enjoyed this because it was different from most zoos.

Then we visited the Mangrove. It's really beautiful! The butterflies fly everywhere and the manatees are cool to see. When we came out of the Mangrove we did the second part Park where the chimpanzees, kangaroos, birds and the gorillas stay. Last but not least, the Safari was left. This was disappointing in our experience, we expected that because we often visit Safaripark Beekse Bergen where it only focuses on safari animals. But still it was a nice walk and we have seen giraffes and rhinos.

All in all we had a wonderful day without too much crowds (we were the first time to book). We have not had the Covid-19 measures. Routings have been built so that there is a lot of one-way traffic. We have not had much trouble with that. And the routing is also clearly indicated. For example, it is described to visit the Ocean first before visiting the Desert, because from the Desert you can not return directly to the Bush where the entrance to the Ocean is located. The Ocean and Desert sections are one-way traffic and the same applies to the Rimba area. This does not cause any problems during the visit.

Have you visited a park during the Corona period? How did you guys like that?
