January 7, a very special day. a day that also suits me a bit these days, because I often feel like a waddling duck when I walk somewhere again. My back problems still prevent me from taking painless walks, and that sometimes results in strange scenes. Today, for once, my weird runs aren't weird because it's January 7 and that day is known as “The International Day of Silly Walks” or International Day of Weird Runs.

This special day is mainly due to John Cleese and The Ministry of Silly Walks in an episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus from the 1970s.

Health.

It may all look ridiculous, but this funny run has a lot of health benefits. Indeed, researchers found that doing this crazy run for 11 minutes a day equals a hard workout of 75 minutes a week.

I also read that running is good for your health.
After my back surgery, walking is just about the only thing that still feels comfortable for me. Much better than sitting or lying.
But raising my leg that high wouldn't work now, right?.
@enigma 😁 As long as you can walk back and take nice pictures, you really don't have to raise that leg. I still can't walk that far myself, but I hope the back school will help with that. Good luck with your recovery.
