Franse lobby tegen pulsvisserij. Als David tegen Goliath streed milieuorganisatie Bloom tegen de ‘elektrische visserij’ in Nederland. Met groot succes. Wie wil weten waarom Franse vissers en de milieubeweging zich hand in hand tegen de Nederlandse pulsvislobby keerden, moet naar de haven van Boulogne-sur-Mer. Het is de belangrijkste vissershaven van Frankrijk, maar de grote industriële trawlers met sleepnetten zijn niet waar het stadje zich op laat voorstaan. De trots van Boulogne is het Bassin Napoléon, vlakbij het centrum: 51 kleine bootjes van traditionele kustvissers die diep in de nacht uitvaren en dezelfde dag terugkeren met hun kwalitatieve maar bescheiden vangst zeetong, kabeljauw of zeebaars voor restaurants en poissonneries.
