@Ingrid Tips en meer I can't walk with rain boots. They always feel too cold for me too. By the way, the big puddle that I couldn't ignore was just before the last kilometer. Returning was also so stupid back then. Then I did the last part with soppy shoes.
@marijke Well, I did wear my hiking boots, which are quite waterproof. But if the water goes in from the top, they're of little use. The inevitable water feature came our way in the last kilometer. Then you won't turn around either.
I don't think it would be so nice to have a house there with all that wetness around you. Will you have to make an accident to remove all that moisture from the walls of your home?.
@Leo 1 That cottage is a kind of protected monument. Everything in there is as it was once left when the residents died. No one lives there. From time to time, only herds of sheep graze around the meadows.
