Deco patch Easter Bunny
Ok, he looks a little squint and he has a big nose, but not all Easter bunnies are perfect! Like people, we all have something.
But the fun thing about this hare (or is it a rabbit)?) is that it is self-decorated. So not from the store or a factory, but completely unique and personally handmade. That's much more fun than a standard purchased decoration? It's not (completely) about the result either, because being creative is also worth a lot. The cosiness, the relaxing feeling, that all counts, if you're creative yourself!

We pasted the papier-mâché rabbit with Decopatch design paper. This purple paper is 1 out of hundreds of designs you can choose from! The paper is very thin and it is suitable for gluing all kinds of surfaces. This can be done with pieces of torn or cut paper, but also in its entirety. We did that this time; not torn the paper into pieces but stuck in its entirety to the rabbit (or hare). From the center, iron out the paper as smooth as possible. A few folds or unevenness is almost impossible to prevent, but that of course makes the project really “handicraft” so that really has its charms.

Cut the excess paper (which protrudes). Glue the edge and fold the paper over the edge. Then you go over it with the glue again. Because, the glue is not only glue, but it is also a paint/varnish! The Decopatch glue (that green pot) is glue and lacquer in one! With a flat, firm brush, you work best with the glue polish!

We painted the edge with pink chalk paint. It dries so fast, that's really super fine! We hate waiting, so chalk paint is ideal for our bunny:) Then we stuck the whiskers (1 chenille wire cut in three) and a glitter pompom is his pink big nose. With that, of course, he can smell very good.
