Diagnosis Breast cancer with metastases. How farther?
On June 24th. I was diagnosed with breast cancer with metastases to the lymph nodes and thyroid glands.
How could I know my life would change like that?.
How delightfully naive I was, when I told the oncologist ballorly, that I'm going on vacation on September 8th. He gave me a great favour, he said, and would give me room in terms of chemotherapy, by possibly suspending it for a week if necessary.
We're living on September 3 now and believe me, I'm not going on vacation 😉 That really has to wait a year. I am far beyond the naivety by now.
By the way, I call chemotherapy, chenezing therapy, because that sounds so much better.
My treatments consist of 9 courses of 2 Tuesdays. So that's 18x chenezings and immune therapy. Then surgery and 4 weeks, 5 days a week, irradiation.
Yeah, I'm still busy, because I'm only at cure 3, and a.s. Tuesday is the 2nd day of it.
The tips, tricks, and advice are far behind the side effects a hospital listed.
Mouth size comes info, which in my case has cost 410 euros if they had told me right away, that it's wisdom not to wear lenses anymore. They broke because I have too dry eyes, it turns out afterwards. One of the side effects, but I haven't noticed that at all. Blinking with your eyes is automatic process, that awareness that you do less than before has passed me.
Even though I had reported one in my eye broke through the middle, it was taken for observation, but not responded to.
And that's how I run into more things that I've found a solution for.
What I want to talk about above all are the side effects. Those are huge. You'll be alerted to that at the hospital too. But about the solutions not or at least.
So I would like for anyone who gets to deal with it, tips, tricks, advice, solutions, links etc. of all kinds of skills I've discovered and figured out.
Exactly that where a hospital (mammapoli) remains in information.
Think of emotion and processing, skin care, oral care, movement, hair or hair loss, fatigue, communication, medication, and not to mention. what reimburses health insurance!
I'm going to deepen all topics separately.
Now I am still in the middle of the process, so during this time I will run into new things that will inform you.
But which of course is also great, that you think along because I don't have all the knowledge in leased. And you don't have to have cancer to come up with tips.
The more it is thought, the better we can help others who (should) continue this process as well.
And all in all, at the end of my process, I want to create a digital folder so that all the handles (as far as I know) can be found in one place.
