In addition, they also knew quite well how to treat it. A large part of the resulting pneumonia was not caused by the virus itself but had a bacterial cause and could be treated with antibiotics.

The Corona virus is a new virus that probably no one has resisted and the flu shot has no control over. Now it is also the virus itself that causes the pneumonia and antibiotics do not help.

There is another major difference, as shown by the statistics of the weekly mortality rates. Pay attention to all the people who die. In 2018, that figure rose slowly from 3027 in week 49 (2017) to 3937 in week 9 (2018). There is a period of12weeks between.
