Dig up dinosaur skeleton and make lamellas
A while ago I got new slats in one bedroom. In a bedroom where the sun burns up all day. We made those slats to size by cutting them. That yielded reasonable waste pieces, which I couldn't get rid of. But I didn't know why I was going to use it. So sometimes something ends up in a corner of the cabinet waiting for a destination. Fortunately, I share a lot with my craft friend and colleagueIneke van der Linde. She is also fond of reuse and we are happy to do this so that things can have a second life.
I asked her. Can you do something with it? And I sent it along with a shipment that was about to be sent anyway. Ineke saw the material and got a hunch. She went from these slats a #dinosaurus skeleton making. The idea is to make several and let the children find them by means of burying them. Of course in style with a tray, a brush, tweezers, a spoon, etc. Together with the intern of Ineke they started preparing this.
Ineke used as a template for the skeleton a wooden dino set that you can normally assemble yourself. All these parts were drawn on a lamella with a pencil and then cut out. They also made a paper on which all the parts were drawn. This was put for each child in their own container so that they could collect their own bones.
The parts are buried around the host parent shelter. So the children will start looking for these parts later. Everyone is looking for the parts he or she needs to complete the dinosaur. This happens just like in real life (as an archaeologist) very carefully. Bones are picked up with tweezers after digging with a spoon. The kids are brushing off the bones just real! Of course it could also be with painter tassels!
