Never thought you’d be one of those, too – the ones who think there’s nothing better than having another plan, or as they say, a backup plan.

Unfortunately, I’ve encountered too many of your kind. Sometimes, my friends tell me about you.

Well, your excuse is simple – when I bore you, you show interest in someone else. When I cook imperfect pancakes for you, you’d know where to go for those perfect pancakes, wouldn’t you?

There’s so much to learn from you. But I always wonder if the thought of breaking hearts and moving on bothers you?
Does it feel right to be holding two different hands while hiding it from the world? And how do you even choose who to talk to on your worst days?
Are you #dishonest at your 3 AMs, too?

I always believed that when someone texts you late at night, it’s because of that magical connection, but I guess forwarded texts do not hold that much meaning to themselves.

You’re difficult and challenging, and perhaps that’s why we chase you even more.

Hopeless romantics like me fall for people like you all the time, get our hearts broken. We preserve the screenshots of your chats. Your voice messages slowly replace the songs on our headphones. It doesn’t end there, we trust lesser people and become emotionally less penetrable; we break promises, and we become a version of ourselves who we never were.
No matter how shallow and easy connections mean to you, I’ll always keep my heart from getting #broken instead of breaking one. While I’m still sleeping with an old tee and I know I might be dumped and cheated on yet again, it brings peace to me to believe that I have a heart that can still find #love.
Maybe some people are made to break hearts and some to keep getting it fixed. I’ll be the latter for as many times as I can.
From,
Someone who would never cheat
