Do young bumblebees get a positive feeling when playing?
This is what some researchers asked themselves.
That's why they created three spaces between which the bumblebees could move freely.
In the first room, there was absolutely nothing.
In the second beads. In the third space, nectar.
It allowed 45 bumblebees to move freely.
The bumblebee community was mixed. Both males and females and young and old individuals
The scientists did this experiment to see whether bumblebees with their tiny brains could also have positive feelings, say, feelings of pleasure.
This is what they did. Because the bumblebees, when their bellies were full, just flew to the pearls and started playing with them. Of course, it was just a simple game. They just rolled the beads to all sides.
There was even 1 bumblebee that did it 114 times in a row with different beads.
This experiment with bumblebees was repeated again without nectar .
And yes, this group, especially the young bumblebees, also played with it.
So bumblebees can also have pleasant feelings when they have something they love to do.
Like bees and wasps, bumblebees are also born from bumblebee wax pits. Bees, however, are masters at forming similar-looking hexagonal boxes. Bumblebees are not so tight in that. Their 'nutsery' wells are small and large.

They only sting when they feel attacked. Or if they think you want to break into their nest.
Both bumblebees, bees and wasps have one and the same mother: the queen.
The other females are there to do all kinds of tasks and to keep the babies clean and take care of them.
Their males only care for reproduction. They are only temporarily allowed into the nest to fertilize the queen and are then inexorably expelled by a group of workers.
In nature, you can discover 13 different species of bumblebees in the temperate climate regions.
In tropical regions, there are others.
It was always thought that insects have no sense of well-being. The experiment proved otherwise.
Insects deserve our respect. But of course, there are limits.
