Doctor explain... - Part 11
Other hospital
Everything was in operation, I had received a referral for the AVL. According to my doctor, I would be in good hands there and they could set up a treatment plan soon. It was now waiting for the appointment.
Fortunately, that waiting didn't take very long. I was able to go relatively quickly. On 8 September I had to report for an emergency diagnosis in the AVL. This is an intensive appointment, in which several appointments are combined to find out the actual diagnosis as soon as possible in order to draw up a treatment plan.
I got an intake in the hospital, a conversation with a nurse specialist, a meeting with the gyneacologist, a blood test, a lung examination with a photo and an MRI examination. It was a pretty intense and debilitating day, and the next day I would hear how and what further.
A treatment plan?
Time can suddenly seem to go pretty slow when you're tense waiting for how and what further. I was hoping enough information had been collected to draw up a treatment plan. And even more so, I was hoping for a treatment plan that could save my child's wish. I really couldn't give up this one, in fact, I didn't want to give up on it.
