This little blue flower, which has many variants, has a legend.
A tough knight wanted to impress his sweetheart.
When he walked along the river with her, he wanted to pick a bouquet of flowers to show her his love. Due to the weight of his harness, he fell into the river while bending over from a few flowers on the bank.
Because of all that iron, he failed to swim. With a final effort, he threw her the bouquet of flowers and shouted: “Don't forget me !'.
The flower is a symbol of eternal love.
It is also the symbol of Alzheimer Netherlands.
I have the flower in my garden.
