#autism This is the moving story of Donald Grey, who was born in 1933 in Forsest, Mississippi, son of Beamon and Mary Triplett, a lawyer and a schoolteacher, Donald was a deeply introverted who never offered a smile to his mother or responded to his voice, currently 87 years old.
This child who, despite his incapacity, was able to survive the difficulties earlier, thanks to his parents and a community that protected him.
Donald grew up and his parents knew that something was not right, people already talked about the weird child, lived in his world, he had a special way of using language, he could speak and imitate words, but mimicry did not like.
He often echoed words he heard saying around him.
For a while, for example, began to pronounce the words “creeper” and “chrysanthemum” over and over again.
Donald was not interested in playing with other children and did not even look up when a man dressed as Santa Claus visited him to give him a surprise.
His parents knew he was listening and that he was smart.
