Dragonfly of maple seeds
Do you know them, too? The choppers swirling out of the trees? They are maple seeds with wings, and they ensure the reproduction of the maple. They can fly that far away with those propellers and come down further from the tree. Thus, the seeds can develop into a new maple. The maple seeds are not hard to find, you can see them (almost) everywhere!

These winged maple seeds are perfect for crafting a dragonfly. That's really easy! For the bodice, use a colored chenille thread (pipe wear/type hairy iron wire) and thread nice beads on it. You can bend the end of the chenille thread so that the beads can not fall off. Decorate the wings with a lacquer/paintmarker, and use thin twigs for the antennae.
Look, there he's flying!
