Every week in my drawing academy, there's an afternoon where you need to practice modeldrawing. Obviously, this is usually with a nude model. The drawings are finished as specific as possible, or you can draw a detail such as the head, arm, leg or back. There is quite a bit of free choice even in an imposed subject. Of course you can also play with your model and light. Cut out all the lights, darken the room and let a small light source shine on a model and then you get to see this contrast that usually plays around dark and light, around white and black and also shades of grey.
