A water filter is a device that removes impurities with which water reaches your home and can do so through a physical barrier, a biological or chemical process. Thanks to these mechanisms, different elements, bacteria and rust that water could bring are eliminated, making it purer and of better quality for consumption. This is also an opportunity to avoid or reduce the purchase of water in plastic containers.

There are different types of filters for drinking water and they can be found in several mechanisms, some of the most used are:

Reverse Osmosis: This is one of the best filters for better quality water. This system purifies water and leaves it free of heavy metals, minerals, chlorine, bacteria and sediments, resulting in high purity water. The liquid goes through several stages, each with a respective filter.

Carbon filter: This type of filter has carbon as the main element, which causes impurities that water may bring to adhere to its particles. Whether through activated carbon blocks or granulated, this is an economical option to have better quality water in your home.

Ultraviolet light: This filtration mechanism uses ultraviolet light to mainly eliminate bacteria or microorganisms that may occur in the water and thus be suitable for consumption.
