As I mentioned in my previous blog, I go FOR mouthmasks from now on.Now I had already started making mouthmasks that are double-layered and where you can put a filter in, but since I don't like sewing and I need a lot of things because of the big family I decided to take a look at an alternative.Durable and reusable are a requirement and, of course, protection.More protection than a disposable mouth mask.I don't like those disposable things.In addition, I find them quite pricey, so I prefer an investment that is cheaper in the end.If you want to read what has led me to go for the use of a mouth mask, please read the blog below:
At first I came across the next mouth cap from The Fashion Filter.The Fashion Filter is an online pop-up store initiated by the Fashion Tech Farm, LABELEDBY., BY-Wire.net.Supported by TU/e, Vlisco and Big Impact.They want to contribute to the social acceptance of wearing face masks in critical times like this.And I must confess that they make beautiful mouth masks.What I also thought important was that they produce to order, resulting in: No overstock, No extra waste, Customizable designs.They advise to wash the outer mask at least every day at 60 degrees and to discard the inner filter! The Fashion Filter face masks are developed in the Material Experience lab at the Fashion Tech Farm and are produced locally in Eindhoven.Of course, this is also a good thing.
I really like the masks.But they're a little too pricey for me.I need at least 14 (so that I have 2 for every person in my household) and at a price of 35.95 euros per mask it becomes a very expensive joke.3 single use filter inserts for the Fashion Filter face mask cost 9.95 euros.
