Dutch spaniel
I have always liked dogs and each country has one or several breeds of dogs that represent them researching the dogs in Holland I found this one that caught my attention because it looks very homey and can belong to a small family and complete the joy of children; the Dutch spaniel is a small/medium sized dog is not long has legs so large has a little abundant coat and can wear it smooth or slightly wavy, this coat has brown or reddish spots. Its name in the Netherlands is kooikerhondje but everyone knows it as kooiker according to research he says “it is a breed recognized in the Netherlands since the 17th century. It is believed to descend from spaniel dogs arrived in the area in the 16th century, coming from Spain”. They were previously used as a decoy as it had to attract the attention of the ducks and took them to the kooiker who turned out to be the person in charge of hunting there the origin of his name. There are many paintings showing these dogs and apparently their race has not changed over time. Any family would be lucky to have this little friend at home. #thenetherlands
