Dweilen met de kraan open.

Gisteren weer voor het eerst sinds jaren de carnavalsoptocht gezien in ons gezellige dorp in Brabant. Ik vind het altijd weer knap hoe ze de grote wagens door de straten manoeuvreren. Daar moet je toch echt wel je hersentjes bij houden.

Maar wat me vooral opviel was onderstaand 'dweilorkest'. Ik moest gelijk denken aan alle rotzooi op de grond die carnaval met zich meebrengt.

Het is dan letterlijk dweilen met de kraan open.

@marijke I haven't done it for years either. I used to be an avid carnival goer. But I can't take it anymore. Too busy and too much noise after a while. But what do you mean by quitting after carnival?

@Encaustichris Thankyou. Hear a lot with you who don't celebrate it anymore or never did it. I grew up with it but I've outgrown it now.

@aatje Ooh, but that's also really nice. When me and John got into a relationship, we used to either celebrate carnival or go away for the weekend. I secretly liked it a lot more.
