Twitter confirm that the real reason to introduce Tip Jar are people are often informed, entertained,Educate, and even moved by conversations via timeline and spaces.

So with this “Tip Jar” creating a easier way to direct people to links to your payment profile & making it easier to support the people driving the conversation on twitter like :-

Twitter will not receive any portion of these payment, but the third party payment services may charge fees.
