Ecoshape/Papiermache giraffe self decopatchen

Ecoshapes are on sale in different shapes and sizes. They are preformed, papier-mache shapes, often brown in color, and machine-made fromcompressed paper pulp and glue. So you can buy them, ready and ready, in the hobby shop, to decorate them yourself to your liking. Painting, coating, coating, smearing and wrapping with all kinds of materials, it's all possible.

One way to decorate an ecoshape is theDecoupage technique. You call it the Paperpatchen, Decopatchen or the napkin technique. You paste pieces of cut or torn thin napkin paper, with a napkin glue lacquer on a surface. The glue lacquer is a glue and a lacquer in one. You grease the shape with a brush, stick a piece of paper on it and go over it with the same stuff at the same time. This way the paper comes between two transparent layers, which gives a nice effect.
My giraffes I pasted withnewsprint, as you can see in the picture. Of course there is also real decoupage paper, which is nicely thin and available in very beautiful designs. Just look HERE how many kinds of Decopatch paper are made of! But with plain newsprint it can be done too.
