Buttons have been around for quite some time. You pin them on your clothes and are, for example, the birthday girl's job. Or you're wearing a button from something or someone you're a fan of. You can also make these buttons yourself and that's whatIneke van der Lindealso did with a set of buttons. If you would also like to do this, I recommend you this website for more info, etc.: Create Buttons
We've already been able to read some nice blogs about needle felting. This time the needle felting is made on a button. Nice idea though, and below you can read how this works..
Step 1: take a piece of fabric (I had terry cloth).
Step 2: Draw a circle on the patch. I used a glass as a mold.
Step 3: Draw exactly in the middle of the large circle (circumference glass) a smaller circle (circumference button).
Step 4: Cut out the circle well around the circle and place the patch on a foam pad.
Step 5: Make a motif of your choice only in the smallest circle. Do this with very small tufts of wool.
Step 6: When the motif is ready, cut it out on the edge of the large circle.
Step 7: Follow the instructions in the package of “Create your own buttons”
There you first put the fabric on the head. Then the smooth part v d button. Round side down. Push it well with the blue press. Then put 2nd part button with pin on top. Then again press with blue “press”. So that both parts click together.
