El Silbón es un espectro del folklore de Venezuela​ y los llanos Colombianos, el cual, según la tradición oral, es el alma en pena de un joven que asesinó a su padre,maldito por tal acción, vaga por los llanos cargando los huesos de su padre en un saco, lanzando tétricos silbidos al aire,Fue maldito por su madre y su abuelo, quien le azuzaron un perro para que le mordiera y le frotaron las heridas con ají picante. Hasta el fin de los tiempos le persigue mordiéndole los talones.

Otras versiones dicen que castiga a los hombres borrachos que van de fiesta en fiesta y en su bolsa lleva los huesos de sus victimas,el Silbón se presenta a los borrachos en forma sombría,usa sombrero y cuando ataca a los hombres parranderos les chupa el ombligo para beberse el aguardiente
