It's similar to tea, but it's not. It's more like an infusion of yerba mate with cold water; it doesn't need to steep like tea, you can drink it directly after pouring some cold water over it.

Also, it's usually drunk in rounds, but you can drink it alone. I'm drinking it right now, and I've already finished two pitchers of cold water, as a way of hydrating. :D

wow I have never had this but my mouth waters at the site

It's very refreshing. If you have a store that sells yerba mate around you, I definitely recommended.

In the winter I'm planning a trip to Argentina and I will get a cup of this authentic and show you :)

In Argentina, they drink the counterpart of tereré, which is mate: Same essence, but instead of cold water, it's hot water. In some places they drink tereré, but these are the cities closest to Paraguay. :D

They are all excellent options, although obviously I will speak better about Paraguay. Although it is a small country, with about 5 million inhabitants, we have a rich history. Also, as a tourist, you will have a lot of fun here because we take great care of our visitors.

Portuguese is not widely spoken, only in Brazil and in the cities of Puerto Iguazú (Argentina), Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay), a geographical location known as the "Triple Frontera (triple frontier)"

very interesting to know. you're full of information you may need to be my guide hehe I am interested to visit the triple border I've just looked it up, so cool. I am interested to visit the sea and mountains and am happy to know Paraguay is kind to visitors, safety is a topic when deciding where to travel

I will be in Puerto Iguazu in November. We have mountains, although they are more like hills, at the height of Villarica and Misiones. :D We take great care of our visitors because those who come to Paraguay are people who want to learn more about the Heart... Show moreI will be in Puerto Iguazu in November. We have mountains, although they are more like hills, at the height of Villarica and Misiones. :D We take great care of our visitors because those who come to Paraguay are people who want to learn more about the Heart of America and Asunción, considered the "Mother of Cities" (I will write about that soon). So, we are obligated to protect them during their visit. :D

I will look forward to your post about Asunción. I agree most of the passion and heart of america is certainly in the southern region. I will certainly do some research into Puerto Iguazu as well! thank you for the recommendation again haha

It is, and if you add some herbs to it, it's even more delicious and refreshing.

It's kinda Cool Tea, it follows the same essence. We used it over my country and in neighboring countries to refreshing us, because the temperatures are very high.
