I'm a long-term Elder Scrolls fan. I actually got into the franchise coincidentally. My father received MorrowinD as a birthday gift back when it was a new release. My father will play a game once or twice, and after that he passed the game on to me. I absolutely LOVED it, and soon, I had also bought the add-ons Bloodmoon and Tribunal.

Of course, when Oblivion was released, I had to have it. I bought it not long after it was released, and eventually I bought the add-ons as well.

With Skyrim, I had to wait. My PC wouldn't run it. Then I came into possession of an Xbox 360, and played Skyrim on Xbox 360.

As I write this, I actually own more than one copy of Oblivion and Skyrim. I have both games for Xbox 360. I have the original retail DVD of Oblivion, and I have Skyrim on Steam, with add-ons.

When word of ESO came out, I wasn't immediately enthusiastic. Mainly because of the "paid subscription" model. I'm the type of gamer that is totally into a game for weeks or months at a time, then ignoring it for the same duration in favour of another game. It didn't seem very sensible to have a subscription running, while I'm not playing.
