After bringing in the donkeys, Cees came in a little overheated.
“That @#¥ (neat translation) beast stays in the meadow!”
On my “why? “ came a (actually) very funny story (which I heard with a serious face). Étoil was stroked, but at the sight of the halter, he took his legs (while putting a middle hoof into the air). When Cees Jolie put the halter on, he tried it for the fourth time at Étoil. To have his hands free, he tied Jolie's rope to the feeding bowl. Étoil let himself be stroked, but again rushed happily into the meadow. Jolie thought it was a good example and also took his legs - including feeder bowl - only this gentleman was standing on the other side of the fence and he was able to run down the driveway freely.
The feeder turned out to be a bit too heavy and so Cees could grab Jolie after 300 meters and bring it to the stable. One in the stable is still better than no...
Before dinner, Cees tried again, but came back just as alone when he left. He taught us some new @#¥ words when he came home - a nice extra. (I now think I have to google'n these words, because I had never heard them before!)
After eating attempt three. Amelie took Arinde under her wing, we took the other three. All a flashlight in your pocket, because in the meantime it had become pitch dark and there are 0 lampposts.
At the meadow it was fun. Étoil welcomed us with a few loud iiiiiiiiaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Once again, with middle hoof in the air - on all four legs.
After five attempts we gave up; “the @#¥ animal just stays asleep here!!! ' , it sounded from Cees, 'I'm sick of it! '
The children were already sleeping for an hour - so Cees had been lying crazy for an hour, again fit enough to make another attempt. The @#¥ animal is his favorite and the thought that he should sleep in the rain, in the dark..., he didn't like that.
He was gone for ten minutes when a very hard “iiiiiaaaaaahhhhh “sounded next to the house. Good, I thought, Cees got the prodigal son.
“I am sick of it!!!! That @#¥π¶|`beast (yep, this one I also need to google'n) has taken its feet!! He ran right past me out of the meadow, to the house. At the fence he was waiting, but before I got there, he had run further - THE WOS IN!!! @#¥ beast!!!!”
Okay, now it started to get serious. In the woods, in the dark, in the rain... Among the wild boar, deer, foxes, etc. Oh, and if Étoil got it on his hips, he could just run to the road... Shit!!
Boots on, flashlight and out. Searching together... there would be no sleep before.
Cees decided to go into the forest (Obelix can handle wild boar, so so does Cees!) , I decided to first look at the courtyard and then walk around the farm.
The courtyard was empty. I walked out of the fence, in the dark - in thought far away - when suddenly I was face to face with a donkey! Scared me the blubber, but ohhh, I was glad to see that nuisance.
Étoil pushed his head against me and then gently pushed me into the courtyard, as if he wanted to say 'I surrender, I would like to be in the stable. '
Jolie welcomed his buddy with a lot of physical contact, time for me to close the door and give the couple privacy.
By the way, Cees came home safely, luckily without wild boars. #ezels #zelfvoorzienendleven #astrixenobelix #ontsnapt #obelix #frustratie
