#Samenleving Who understands me, who sees me. In the dark periods of our lives, we scream out, who understands me, who sees me? If only there was someone who would reach out his hand to you and listen to you, who understood what you're going through. Then for the first time you felt seen by someone. Then you finally felt like I exist.

This quest starts after many setbacks, where we lose people, feeling pain that touches our soul. It can be a loved one who disappears from your life overnight and leaves you with so many questions. It could be a child that you can't see after a divorce. It could be your parents who kicked you out of the house because you were unruly, but it was a call to be seen by them.

Who understands me, who sees me, there really isn't someone who can be there for me, who makes me feel like I have a right to exist. There is. That's you. The only person who understands you is you. The only person who sees you is you. But as long as you don't understand yourself, as long as you want someone else to see you, you don't understand yourself, you don't see yourself standing.

As long as you expect others to understand, or see you standing, nothing happens. Do you continue to cry out in the desert, abandoned, alone, perishing of hunger, the love that only does not appear to you in your life in the right way. Thirst, because the tears take all the moisture out of your body. Who understands me, who sees me. You, the only one who can do that, are you.

The journey you've been going through all your life, looking for someone who understands you, you better stop. Let your tears flow and dry them, look in the mirror. You left yourself, your soul cries those thick tears with spouts. You don't need anyone else to understand you, you need yourself. You abandoned yourself.

Yes, it's right, you're right, that happened by others who weren't there for you when you were little, then it started, they abandoned you. Then you wondered, why did they put me on earth? That's when you started looking. Because you still think someone else should reach out to you. Over the years, you've given yourself, completely, given away, hoping that someone would understand you once, see you standing.

And all of them are gone, you feel a piece of old dirt, carelessly thrown away in the garbage. No one who sees you standing or understands. The trouble of trying to mean something to you.

You feel like a drifter under the bridge with no right to exist, no safe haven to protect you. It's time, time to see yourself stand, protect yourself from all those who cannot receive your love in the right way. It's time to learn that love is just giving, just like you're used to. That love is there for yourself, too. As soon as you understand that, someone will see you standing. Somebody gonna understand you, and that's you.

Embrace that very beautiful person you are, who can and may finally allow the love for himself, who has given them all away to this day.
