#kingsday King's Day is the national holiday of the Netherlands. Since 1885 it was celebrated every 31 August to coincide with Queen Wilhelmina's birthday, but with the beginning of her daughter Juliana's reign in 1948, the holiday was celebrated on the date of her birth, on April 30.

Then it was Queen's Day, Juliana and Beatrix celebrated on April 30th, since 2014 we celebrate King's Day on April 27th, the birthday of Willem Alexander
