I wonder if you will literally sink like a brick in the approaching swamp, right in front of you. You are beautifully camouflaged and thus one with your surroundings. Sharp edges and corners are not on your body except for your powerful teeth.
I think you've lost your way in the people around. You have a heavy burden to wear in the form of a seemingly heavy military helmet. You just have to “get in.”!
Actually, you've seen this corporate identity of the snails family during their evolution. They, too, always take their house on the back. You do almost the same thing, but just light something else. You live in your home helmet anyway. All around closed with only small cutouts for your hands and feet and of course your head. Your helmet, armor, kuras or temple is hard and indestructible.

You soloist, lover of tropical temperatures, was brought to this country as a little sweet struggling and diving creature. Purchased and included in our lovely surroundings you swim happily on the loose and you get far too much food to eat in the many wellness oases in many living rooms in our country. The downside is that you quickly outgrow these wellness oases. A luxury problem is the result.

You are heavy and cumbersome but your body weight is well distributed.
On land you are at your disadvantage. You're there as slow as a snail. So you won't win at speed. However, in the water or in swampy environments, you feel like reborn. In swamps you will feel at home in your almost natural habitat.
You're someone who can grow very old. That, too, is genetically determined. You live on plants and small vermin and dead fish et cetera. You work in the swamp with your strong muscular limbs clear the way. Your head and through your long neck then, eat the necessary provisions inside. Only I'm afraid you're gonna get a hard time in the winter time. A phase that you can bridge by moderating yourself in a state of suspended deaths. But that's not really your thing.. Unfortunately, many animal species have already been brought to the Netherlands that can't make it. But you're a fighter with strong jaws.
But that's not what it's about. The duty of care also for too big house turtles is demorous. As man deals with each other, she also deals with animals that do not fit in the many living oases. Fortunately, your genetics looks far back into primordial times. And always you survived.
Winters are getting less cold today and summers remain cowardly and lukewarm. Turtle I call you HERO, you make it, I hope against my better knowledge!
You are not in our nature and are not made for Dutch freezing winters. As a cold-blooded creature, you must be able to warm up to digest food. This does not work well in our wild. A long death struggle of 5 years is not unthinkable. So animal suffering at the top. To warm yourself up enough you walk to the asphalt.
That warms up nice, but often you get killed just there by human cars. Fortunately, I found you while you're wandering around desolate.
And now you swim around the Born Dierenpark between your yellow-cheek-and-the species in a beautiful pool of water, riverside vegetation and tranquility.

I love turttles, they are realy heroes of surviving.I had a turttle when i was little girl and one time it was escaped from its bowl. I found it after month ago, alive, but unfortunately it wasn't live long time after that.
