Burns caused by Olla Express
Cooking in a pressure cooker is fast and healthy. It allows you to make delicious recipes in less than half the time, and preserving the vitamins in the food, but its handling is not without risks, especially if you do not follow the instructions. About their dangers and how to avoid them
For example, it must always be ensured that safety valves are not clogged and that they allow the steam to escape properly. You don't have to fill the pot above two-thirds of its total capacity because you always have to leave room for the boiling of the liquid, the expansion of food as you cook and the foam that occurs. This way, the valve will not be clogged and more natural cooking will be allowed.
It is important to note that when the cooking process is over and the pot has lost all pressure, it is advisable to let it rest for 15 to 30 minutes, until it loses heat. After that, it can be opened slowly and, above all, avoid putting it under running cold water. It is not advisable to subject it to sudden changes in temperature.
This image is of a patient who arrived in the emergency area during my rural year with a second-degree burn on her right breast. Who recovered satisfactorily and whom I have great appreciation for. That's why I decided to publish this post. I hope it will help you a lot.
