Salad

For 2/3 people

Salad:

-1 avocado cut into cubes

- 1/2 (red) onion cut into small cubes

- 1 tbsp corn

- add chives to taste

- pepper/ salt

Dressing:

(quantity of your choice)

- mustard honey sauce

Or..

- 2 tbsp joghurt

- 2 tsp mayonnaise

- 1 tbsp mustard

- 2 tsp honey

Delicious on homemade country bread

Fat in avocado

Avocado, unlike other vegetables, contains a lot of fat. The fat in the avocado is mainly oleic acid. Oleic acid is an unsaturated fat. Unsaturated fat lowers the LDL cholesterol of the blood. Too high LDL cholesterol is not good for blood vessels and can eventually lead to cardiovascular disease. With an avocado you get good fats inside, just like with oil, soft and liquid margarine, fatty fish and nuts.
