Welcome to the Butterfly Farm

This detached and detached holiday farm is located on a small hill surrounded by forest. From the vine-lined garden terrace you have an unobstructed view of the beautiful hilly landscape of southern Hungary. The house is in a quiet location on the edge of a tiny village (100 inhabitants) in the attractive wine region Villány - Siklos, has no direct neighbours and is fully equipped. Discover the hidden secrets and culinary surprises of this beautiful region!


The living area of approx. 65 m² is on the ground floor and is divided as follows: a hall/entrance with sitting area; a spacious living room with sitting area with double sofa, 2 armchairs, satellite TV, DVD player, game console and a single sofa bed; a bedroom with a double bed (140x200); a full equipped kitchen with gas stove, oven, kitchenette, coffeemaker/senseo, toaster and dining area and a bathroom with sink, toilet, walk-in rain shower and washing machine. The house is heated with gas stoves. The living room and bedroom are equipped with ceiling fans.

The enclosed garden with sun terrace and shaded pavilion offers a lot of privacy and has an unobstructed view of the surrounding natural landscape. Outdoor furniture, sun loungers, barbecue, table tennis and pool are at your disposal. The car can be parked in the covered carport at home. Tenants of this property use two bikes with electric support free of charge.


Please note that the holiday home is only accessible via a semi-paved, easily accessible gravel road (approx. 100m).


The simple farmhouse village Klein Budmer, located in the beautiful wine region of Villány - Siklos, has a 17th century church with old frescoes, there is a convenience store for daily groceries and a bus service to larger villages and towns. For other things such as restaurants and supermarkets, go to the larger neighbouring village of Borjád or to the picturesque wine villages of Villány and Bóly (where there is also a tourist information office). Via a marked, panoramic 'wine cycle route', the area is easily accessible by bike on a bicycle path with beautiful views. The route leads along numerous wine cellars and restaurants where you can taste the excellent local wines and dishes for a friend price.


In the vicinity there are several wonderful thermal baths (with free sauna, indoor and outdoor pools), a large swimming lake with water park (Orfü), the beautiful Mecsek Mountains and an activity park (Mecsextrem). Day trips to the tourist Lake Balaton , enchanting Budapest and the neighbouring country Croatia is good to do from here. The beautiful, culturally rich provincial capital of Pécs is just a 20-minute drive away. Also worth a visit is the well-preserved castle of Siklos with an interesting museum within the medieval walls. There are plenty of other attractions in the area. In this approximately 100 year old farmhouse, which has been restored with respect, you will experience the atmosphere of authentic Hungary, but with the ease of use and comfort of today. With the free electrically supported bicycles, you can explore the picturesque surroundings in a relaxed way and taste the many fine wines in one of the numerous wine cellars along the wine cycle route that runs along the holiday home. Due to recent improvements to the motorway infrastructure, the house is also easily accessible (10 minutes from exit new highway Budapest - Pécs). For the accessibility of this property, private transport or rental car is recommended.
