The red cabbage casserole I learned to make in my puberty and still like to eat it. It's easy to prepare, but it takes a little time. - 400 grams of minced beef
- Small jar of red cabbage (350 grams)
- 1.5 kilograms of potatoes
- 1 Egg
- Parmesan cheese (grated or straw cheese)
- Cream butter
- Olive oil
- Paprika powder
Method of preparation:
Peel the potatoes, then wash them and put them in a saucepan with water. Sprinkle a little salt there and bring the water to a boil. When the potatoes boil, let it cook for about 20 minutes.
Then put a small dash of olive oil in the frying pan, put the minced meat there and season it with meatspices and paprika powder. Rump these minced meat until cooked and pour out the fat from the minced meat. Keep the minced meat in the frying pan. (You can do this by means of a colander)
Next, drain the red cabbage also in a colander and put the oven at 200 degrees.
With a small lump of cream butter, grease the baking dish. Here put a small bottom with minced meat, this is about half of the minced meat. You also do this with the red cabbage and then you do it again with minced meat and the red cabbage.
When the potatoes are cooked, drain it. Then add a dash of milk and a knob of butter to the potatoes and grind it. I myself do this with a spoon at the end, but I don't have to. I just like this one way or another. When the potatoes are mashed, add it to your red cabbage dish and smooth the top.
Then mix a little breadcrumbs with a little bit of Parmesan cheese. Next, take the egg, break it and make sure that you only have the egg yolk left.
Spread the egg yolk over the mashed potatoes and sprinkle the mix with the breadcrumbs with the Parmesan cheese.
Put this in the oven for about 25 minutes and then you can go to the table!
