Looking for something to binge? Amazon Prime Video has got you. The streaming service boasts a truckload of excellent shows, from award-winning dramas to superhero series to comedies to cooking programs. This month it offers plenty of binge-worthy entertainment, and with omicron stopping by for the holidays, you’ll likely have plenty of time to watch it. Here are the best shows to stream this month on Amazon Prime Video in Canada.

Harlem
This upbeat TV comedy about a group of close-knit female friends in New York’s historically black Harlem neighborhood, the second of such comedies to be released this year, comes from the mind of Tracy Oliver, creator of the extremely hilarious black female road-trip comedy Girls Trip, from 2017.

Uncoupled in Rio
Amazon continues to expand its foreign-language original programming with this new series set produced in Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian comedy is about the trials and tribulations of a couple who have broken up but continue cohabitating out of financial necessity, with all the drama that implies.

Godless
Very violent, very Western, and, in a breath of fresh air: very female. Godless is a grim and visually stunning series about a small New Mexico town populated almost entirely by women, including Alice Fletcher, a reserved and self-reliant widow played by Michelle Dockery. Roy Goode (played by Jeff Daniels, who won an Emmy for it) is an outlaw chased by a much worse outlaw, Frank Griffin, who is taken in by the mysterious, gun-toting widows. Written and directed by Scott Frank and executive-produced by Steven Soderbergh, Godless is an honest and powerful show with amazing performances. So amazing, it's hard to single one of them out. If you love Westerns but sometimes find them too foreseeable, this show is for you.

Ozark (2018)
Ozark is a compelling Netflix drama with a fairly straightforward premise. It follows a married couple forced to relocate their family to the Ozarks to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel. But while the plot is intriguing on its own, what really makes the series stand out is the two excellent performances from Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, which only get better with each episode.
Moreover, the show goes from dark to darker, making it an addictive watch. If you can stand the tension, following these two as they struggle to get away with crime-related endeavors is highly satisfying.#whattowatch
