What is the Enneagram?
The Enneagram of Personality is a Map of Human Behavior. A dynamic system created that allows us to understand personality. Encapsulating nine types of basic behaviors, nine ways of thinking, feeling and doing.
Now maybe you're wondering why nine?, and that is that these are the main bases of human behavior. Enneatypes are the general patterns. People are unique expressions of this base of the nine types. So with this example I want to illustrate you a bit so you understand: if we talked about “hair colors” I think we all know that there are blond, brown, black, red, gray and white hair. Although we can also observe that my black hair is not exactly the same as my schoolmate's black hair or that my father's gray hair is not the same gray as my uncle. Something similar happens with the Enneagram of Personality and Enneatypes, and that is that no person is equal to another, even if we share common characteristic features with other people.
Each enneatype is based on a behavior. An individual way of seeing the world, its interpretation of reality and many things. These “lenses” with which each enneatype sees the world, relate to what each one needs for their survival and satisfaction in life, and are associated with a corresponding pattern of attention based on the nine personality types.

What is an enneatype?
Now where do those nine enneatypes come from? The Enneagram of Personality concentrates on the three centers of intelligence of the human being, the mental or thought area, the emotional or feeling area and the visceral or instinctive area. Every human being owns these areas. Every human being thinks, feels and acts. Well, these three areas are the origin of the nine enneatypes. In each area there is a triad (Three linked elements) of enneatypes.
