Five years ago The Orange Lionesses played football in their own country to the title. The 2017 European Championships were a prey for Daniëlle, Lieke, Sari, Shanice, Sherida and the others. A lovely football team, which brought the men to the throne.
The whole of the Netherlands colored orange, where I remember from my own childhood that girls really couldn't play football after all. At that time, that was definitely no secret, I must say.
Part of this golden team - after an equally successful World Cup 2019 - still has the potential to prolong that title. That should happen soon in England; perhaps the cradle of football. We're going to see it, we're going to experience it.
