#history
It is the first hominid that had enough exclusively human characteristics to be placed in the same gender as modern humans. The genus Homo is characterized by its capacity to develop stone tools, and the first of them existed in Africa 22 million years ago.

Its cranial capacity did not exceed 800 cm3 and it had smaller premolars and molars than those of Australopithecines. It would have shared an era with Homo rudolfensis, and they are often considered the same species.
