For this process all we need is 1 glass cup, 1 pencil, salt, water and 1 spoon.

The first thing we have to do is pour seven tablespoons of salt into a full glass of water half and stir well with the spoon until the salt is dissolved, then fill the glass to its top gently trying to ensure that the waters of different densities do not mix much.

The last step is based on dipping the pencil to the bottom and seeing what happens.

You'll get the impression that the pencil is broken in half. This is because the rays of light now have three different angles of refraction. Therefore, the vision of it is modified in every water change.
