FACES UCV is the birthplace where great Venezuelan politicians and economists have been born is a faculty with a great track record since its inception.


The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences is currently composed of seven schools: Economics, Administration and Accounting, Anthropology, Statistics and Actuarial Sciences, International Studies, Sociology and Social Work; the “Rodolfo Quintero” Institute for Economic and Social Research; the Postgraduate Studies Commission , APEC the Center for Professional Extension, CEP and the Academic Computing Centre.

Fourteen were the first graduates of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences in 1942: Antonio Moisés Alvarado, Jesús E. Angle Urdaneta, Regulo Briceño Bastidas, Humberto Cardenas Becerra, Oscar Delepiani Gilly, Luis Cornelio Hueck, Salvador Lairet, José Rafael Liccioni, Bernabé Llovera, Sosimo Molina, Rafael Padron, Jose Padron Irazabal, Hector Santaella and Enrique Tejera.
