The false parasol is also known as the Vomiter, Green-spored parasol or the Green-spored lepiota. It is a species known for its toxicity and looks fairly similar to Agaricus campestris, a widely eaten field mushroom. Toxicity: As one of the names may indicate, this species of mushroom can cause vomiting, along with severe gastrointestinal discomfort, sweating, and diarrhea. It has been a frequent cause of mushroom poisoning in some parts of the world. Habitat: The false parasol can be found growing in meadows, lawns and sometimes even forests. They are fast growing and like to feed on dung and decomposing plant matter. The mushrooms in the pictures I've provided took just three days to grow to that great size!😯 They can grow singularly and in groups, occasionally growing in ring shaped groups called "fairy rings".
