One day, soon after Robert's death, sick of feeling like trash, Kristen went back to sports. She found herself in a fitness, walking on a treadmill, her ears occupied with motivating music. Anorexic songs. What an interesting choice. Powerful words about weight loss and hunger appeared to stimulate her to work harder to maintain a healthy body.

There were almost no people at the gym this morning, in comparison to the weekend. It seemed like people would come later, during the lunch break. Kristen had no lunch break. Or any break. Being an actress was a full-time job with almost no holidays. It was worth it though. Seeing yourself on the screen, asking what the heck were you doing there and remembering that it was your job.

Breathe through your diaphragm, Kristen. Breathe! , she reminded herself mentally. All of her thoughts sounded more like screams.

Burning calories had been Kristen's hobby lately. Whether it was running with the dogs, doing chores or being here, at the gym, she had to do something. Being stuck at home was just no option! No more mourning over dead exes. And that was final.

But that didn't mean she wouldn't read all of the letters. They were dedicated to her. It would be disrespectful towards the Pattinson's if she just threw them away or sent them back.

She was humming a song and walking on the treadmill, pushing herself harder to burn calories, as if that was going to burn the negative thoughts away.

Kristen thought about the premiere of her directorial debut. It was this month. She hoped people would appreciate the hard work and feelings she had poured and devoted into this little special project of hers. The movie itself felt more like a college work than a professional one, but it was her baby. The one that she had "raised" with so much love. Kristen had spent the whole summer working on the film.

She hadn't realized the man next to her was talking to her until she saw him mouthing to her. That caused her to take off her earbuds.

"Excuse me, what did you say?" , Kristen asked as politely as possible. "I couldn't hear you."

The stranger chuckled. "Well, obviously. You were with your earbuds."

Kristen chuckled too. She had just started a conversation with the man, but she seemed to like him already. He was attractive, even more beautiful than Robert. Taller, more muscular, with darker skin and hair. His eyes radiating serenity and happiness. The man had to be just a little bit older than Robert.

"You're Kristen Stewart," the man's voice brought her to the reality of the slowly filling up gym. Glancing at the clock, she noticed it was almost 10:45. Had she been there for that long?

"Yeah," she giggled. "I am."

"I'm Everett," he extended his hand and she shook it to greet him. Kristen had just made a new acquaintance. A small change.

Later, that night, like almost always, she was curled into a ball near the fireplace, sipping a cup of tea and watching the Cooking Channel, absorbing every little thing that could possibly improve her cooking skills. A little more sugar, a little less salt. That sounded like a mantra that could be applied to her everyday life.

A little more sugar, a little less salt.

She was going to give Everett a chance. He had given her his number, implying they could possibly meet up sometime. What if that "sometime" was tomorrow?
