A week had gone by faster than expected. Jade was still working hard on the script. Soon, she would have to hand it to Sikowitz and that was making her feel nervous. What if he didn't approve of it? She had worked days and nights to write it. She was taking such a big risk to write about her life. She sincerely hoped that if her friends found out that the story was based on her life they wouldn't judge or mistreat her anyhow. That was the last thing she wanted.

For a while, for everybody around Jade, it seemed that she was back to her old habits of mimicking Tori Vega with a Southern accent, being brutally honest and drinking too much coffee. But nobody knew what was really going on inside her mind. Nobody knew how stressed she truly felt.

Her friends could barely wait to read the script. They couldn't help but be immensely proud of Jade for being chosen for such a special assignment.

One day, the group of friends was sitting outside, having their lunch in their usual spot, when Andre Harris suddenly turned to Jade and asked her if she could show them her work. That left the brunette stupefied. She didn't feel ready to share anything yet. And if they read the script and somehow realized that it was based on her life, how would they react?

"No," she sharply said, trying to keep on her mask of the person she came across whenever one first met her - rude, insensitive and obnoxious.

"Oh, come on! Please, Jadey?", Cat Valentine was giving her best puppy dog eyes, despite the fact that that tactic never worked.

"Don't call me like that!", Jade snapped at her red-haired friend. She hadn't meant to. It was simply a mechanic reaction in defence. Jade wished she could take back her words, but that meant breaking the character she was playing. And she couldn't let people see the real her.

For the rest of the lunch period, the script was not mentioned.
