A Father's Day certificate, which you can color yourself! You can stick a picture in the small frame, or draw dad or anything else fun inside. Then cut out the certificate and stick it to colored paper. Green, blue, yellow, choose the color you like. Decorate it with hearts, stars or other decorations and your father will receive a beautiful certificate from you on Father's Day. Because it is logical that he is the sweetest, and that he well deserves this award!

On Father's Day, we celebrate to honor all fathers, we are happy that they are there for the children! The importance of fathers in raising, loving and caring for their children is further celebrated on Father's Day. This is possible, for example, with gifts, crafts, drawings, verses and lots of hugs and/or kisses.

When is Father's Day?

  • In the Netherlands, Father's Day is always celebrated on the third Sunday of June. That has not always been the case. Because did you know that it was much earlier (1937) in the month of October? But a large group of men's fashion retailers managed to move Father's Day to June in 1948. They thought that was a more appropriate time for a Father's Day party. And so June appears to be better for men's fashion stores! So I think that many fathers often got a tie, shirt, shirt or socks, don't you think?
  • By the way, in Belgium, Father's Day is not on the same Sunday! In Belgium (and also in Austria), this festive day is always the second Sunday of June, a week earlier! In some countries (Spain, Portugal, Italy), fatherhood is celebrated on March 19, and in Germany, Father's Day is celebrated on Ascension Day. It's all complicated, huh?
