Authorless music that belongs to everyone [second song]

A while ago, somewhere in the middle of July I decided to hang out on the beach. It was a beautiful weather and you could see all kind of people doing all kind of stuff. By observing them I noticed that in general they were not aware of their surroundings. At least it seemed like it, some of them were absorbed by their smartphone, taking pictures from every existing angle in our physical universe. Others were talking to each other without a break to see what’s actually happening around them. Only here and there you could spot a loner or a small group of people that looked more towards the sky or had their gaze on the horizon. In the course of this observation a song was born. Just like in the first blog, the whole idea is to share authorless music that belongs to everyone.

Song two [Silent place]

Verse 1

-----G------------------------D--------

One day in the beginning of july

------C----------------------------

I was sitting on the beach

-----------------------D---------------

Watching the waves coming by

-------G-----------------D-----------

A lot of people were talking to

---------------------C-------------------------

each other, to their sister or a brother,

-----------D-----------

father or a mother.

--------Am----------------------C-------------------G-----------D-------

Silence is something really rare in our world today, ooohyeeey!

------Am-----------------C-----------------------------------G------------------------D

No matter where you go people have something to say and that’s oookeey!

Chorus 1

-------------------------------A-------------------------Em---------------G----------

But there are days when you just want to chill out and find a place that’s

----------D--

not so loud.

----------------A--------------------Em-----------------G--------------D-

Observe the nature, enjoy the sun or just be happy on your own

Verse 2

------G---------------------------D------------

Sometimes I wonder how birds can sing

--------C-----------------------------------D----------

When we’re surrounded by so much suffering

----------G------------------------D----------C-------------------------------D

Because no matter where we go we see the madness of our world.

--------G-------------------D-----------------C-------------------------D
You don’t have to believe me just watch the news on your TV

Chorus 2

------------------------------A-------------------------Em----------------G-----------

But there are days when you just want to chill out and find a place that’s

-------D--

not so loud.

------------A------------------------Em-----------------G--------------D--

Observe the nature, enjoy the sun or just be happy on your own

Verse 3

-----------------A-------------------------Em----------------G-----------------------D-----

You know the sages had always told us that the only place where we find love,

--------------A----------------------Em------------------G-----------------D

is in our hearts, and not in heaven or from an old guy from above

Chorus 3 + ending

------------------------------A-------------------------Em------------------G-----------

But there are days when you just want to chill out and find a place that’s

----D--------

not so loud.

-------------A---------------------Em-------------------G--------------D--

Observe the nature, enjoy the sun or just be happy on your own

------------Am-------------------C-----------------------G-----------D--------

Forget the nonsense and start to seek, within the silence of a creek.

Am, C, G, D

Feel free to create your own strumming pattern and play it in a way that feels right for you. For me it’s a fingerpicking, folky type of song however during the chorus you sing and play louder and more expressive. Only the last part of the chorus, during the ending you sing and play more quiet.
